Message Can your fuel consumption at idle (i.e. warming up the car for 15 minutes in 1° weather) be computed as a function of your average MPG?

I warmed up my car this morning for 15 minutes before driving to work. I have been doing this for a few days now due to the cold. My gas mileage last night when I filled up was about 3-4 MPG lower than normal. I'm curious if this is due to the extended warm up periods, or if I need to change/repair/clean something.

Thanks in advance.
